Year 9 from September 2027

Years 9 to 11 Extension, from September 2027

Horris Hill School is excited to announce that it will be extending its offering by an additional three years, from Years 9 to 11. The first class will be in September 2027 or earlier, in September 2026 if there is sufficient demand. We will, in due course, begin recruitment for our first Year 9 class. We are already welcoming applications from external applicants!

By extending our age range, we are able to build on the strong foundations already in place, ensuring that our pupils are well-prepared for their GCSE examinations and beyond in a unique Horris Hill way.  

There are outstanding facilities, of senior school standard, at Horris Hill, and we will be looking to invest in these over the next few years. Facilities include an award-winning theatre, music suite, sports fields, swimming pool and STEAM centre. This summer sees the much-anticipated opening of our state-of-the-art boarding house, with the aim of growing the number of girls in the school since our move to co-education in 2022.

13+ Preparation

Pupils in Years 7 and 8 will still be supported in their 13+ applications and encouraged to choose the best pathway for them, whether that be Horris Hill for GCSEs or moving further afield. We will still maintain partnerships with Senior Schools and nuture these, so options very much stay open for Horris Hill pupils.
